I have years of experience working in literacy and

education as a school librarian and library consultant at  El Paso-area

schools and as a board member for the Border Regional

Library Association (serving Texas, New Mexico and 

Chihuahua, México) and the El Paso Public Library. 

I hold a Master of Science in Information Studies (MSIS)

from the University of Texas at Austin.

In 2008, I completed the course

Becoming a Grant Writing Consultant through the

University of Texas and have attended several workshops

offered by The Texas Department of State Health

Services and the El Paso Nonprofit Center.
